Meet Jessica

Hello, and welcome!

I’m Jessica, a registered provisional psychologist and counsellor. I work with individuals and couples, offering a gentle holistic approach. At the heart of the work I do - is the belief that people can heal and their mind and body are able to restore balance in the right conditions. The benefits of psychological care is that it allows for you to attend to the root of your personal experiences, and process life experiences, so that more balance can be sustainably found.

My holistic approach blends multiple modalities such as Attachment Based therapy, Family Therapy, Depth psychology, Process-oriented psychology, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-informed Therapy, Mindful Self Compassion, The Gottman method, Neuroscience and collaborative practices to address your lived experience and factors that may impact your wellbeing. This work may include understanding unhealed childhood traumas, recognizing shame and external or internalized oppression, and bringing attention and care to your unfolding patterns and dilemmas. Sessions focus on achieving your goals, and we work in a way that suits your personality.

  ISSUES I WORK WITH:

Individual therapy: I work with people struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, mood issues, self-confidence, grief, difficulties managing and processing emotions, nervous system dysregulation, difficulties with sleep, overthinking, and addictions. I use a gentle body-mind-heart approach to help you learn to care for you core needs.

Relationship work and couples therapy: I work with individuals and couples around issues of forming and sustaining satisfying relationships, addressing attachment wounds, building skillful and loving communication, attunement in relationships, conflict work and relational trauma.

Trauma therapy: Trauma informed therapy explores the impact of trauma, intergenerational trauma and various life experiences which impact your wellbeing. We help you to create space to process the life experiences that you were under resourced to adequately process and digest at earlier times in your life.
