Land acknowledgment.
I acknowledge the home where I live and practice my work – treaty 7 territory, the traditional territories and oral practices of the Blackfoot (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), the Tsuut’ina (Sarcee), the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta. I practice land acknowledgement in the spirit of reconciliation and to acknowledge the people who were guardians of the land and experienced historical and ongoing trauma related to inequitable land treaties. Soli Deo Gloria. May we all work together to have the conversations needed for healing.
