Addictions:

When we are struggling with an addiction, often the feeling is that "the addiction has control of us". I explore addiction as a 'state’ of being. Some people may be deeply stuck in this state. My approach is to see people struggling with this state, less like an “on/off light switch” (eg. I’m an addict or I’m not an addict), and rather more like a dimmer light switch, where the intensity of the addicted state can be turned up or down, depending on the context of our lives, or where we are in our addiction cycle. My experience supporting people with addiction, includes working in inpatient, outpatient, private practice and pre-treatment centers. I support people struggling with substance related addictions and behavioral addictions, including, drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, pornography, cigarette’s and sugar and food. Top.
